6. Payment terms

All fees are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and confirmed in writing before any work begins. Payment is due as specified in the engagement letter. We accept payment by bank transfer. Receipts are provided upon request.

Fees that remain unpaid beyond the agreed date may attract a reminder charge. Where a matter is discontinued at the client's request before completion, fees for work already undertaken will be due on a proportional basis, as set out in the engagement letter.

7. Service delivery

We will carry out services with reasonable skill and care, and in accordance with the scope agreed in writing. Timelines provided are estimates only. Either party may terminate an engagement by giving written notice. Upon termination, fees for work already carried out become payable. Sandaran Law may retain copies of documents relevant to the matter for the purposes of compliance with professional obligations.

Clauses relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination of any engagement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of our services shall first be addressed through informal discussion. If the matter cannot be resolved informally, it shall be referred to mediation before litigation is pursued.
