Three services, three clear price points
Whether you need a first look at your position, help through a contested matter, or continuing counsel for your retirement — there is a service here designed around what you actually need.
← Back to HomeOur approach to pension legal matters
We begin every engagement by listening. That sounds simple, but in practice it means taking time to understand the full situation before offering any view. A rushed assessment helps no one.
Listen first
We take time to understand your specific situation before drawing any conclusions.
Review the documents
We read the relevant paperwork carefully before forming a view on the options available.
Explain clearly
We put our assessment in plain language — written and spoken — so you can make an informed decision.
Act if you choose to
You decide whether and how to proceed. We support that decision — whatever it is.
Standing Review
RM 155 — single engagement
A thoughtful, unhurried look at your current pension arrangements and any concern you've raised. We read the relevant documents, clarify what they mean, and provide a written note in plain language. We then set aside time to go through that note with you — answering questions and making sure the picture is clear. There is no obligation to take any further action after this review.
What is included
- Review of pension documents and correspondence you provide
- Plain-language written summary of your current position
- Explanation of any options or concerns identified
- Discussion session to address your questions
- No obligation to engage further
Process steps
You contact us and share your concern — no preparation required.
We confirm a convenient time and request any relevant documents.
We review the material and prepare a written note — usually within 5–7 working days.
We meet (in person or by phone) to go through the note with you.
Dispute & Appeal Assistance
RM 615 — per dispute engagement
For clients with a contested pension matter — a delayed payment, a disputed entitlement, or a decision they wish to challenge. We take on the burden of managing the paperwork, meeting deadlines, and corresponding with the relevant bodies on your behalf. We keep you informed at each stage, in plain terms. The fee is agreed in writing before any work begins.
What is included
- Full case review and assessment of grounds
- Preparation and filing of appeal or dispute documentation
- All correspondence with pension bodies handled for you
- Regular progress updates in plain language
- Written fee agreement before engagement
Process steps
Initial assessment of your matter (may follow a Standing Review).
Written fee agreement confirmed before work begins.
Documentation reviewed, grounds established, and appeal prepared.
Correspondence managed. You are updated at each significant stage.
Outcome reviewed with you and next steps discussed if needed.
Retirement Income Guidance
RM 370 — ongoing engagement
Continuing legal counsel for clients who prefer sustained support rather than a one-off engagement. Well suited to those managing dependants, planning the arrangement of retirement income, or facing a situation that will evolve over coming months. We check in regularly, adapt our support as your situation changes, and keep every decision firmly in your hands.
What is included
- Ongoing access to legal counsel for pension income matters
- Guidance on provisions for dependants
- Regular review of your situation as circumstances change
- Plain-language updates and summaries
- All decisions remain yours — we advise, not direct
Process steps
An initial conversation to understand your circumstances and goals.
A written overview of your pension position and relevant considerations.
Regular scheduled check-ins — by phone, email, or in person.
Advice updated as your situation develops, at whatever pace suits you.
